Nigerians, Ghanaians nabbed for dealing in sex drugs

Six Nigerians and two Ghanaians have been arrested by the Police in Ashanti Region for possessing and selling unauthorised sexual enhancement drugs.

The suspected Nigerians are Mohammed Mansour, 18; Abukari Osman, 20; Adamu Seidu, 22, Mahamadu Ibrahim Nurudeen, 22, Abubakari Ibrahim, 24, and Abdul-Salam Abubakari, 30.

Their Ghanaian counterparts are Margaret Mensah also known as Akua, 25, and Samira Abdul Kadir, 30.

Addressing journalists here, the Ashanti Regional Police Public Affairs Director, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Juliana Obeng, said that the Police Drug Law Enforcement Unit in collaboration with Officials of Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) through a special operation, arrested the six Nigerians on July 3, 2017 for selling unauthorised drugs.

She said the six revealed to the Police during investigations that Margaret and Samira supplied the drugs to them, and the Police arrested Margaret and Samira at their shops on July 5, 2017, at French-line near Alabar in Kumasi.

ASP Obeng told the court that a search by the Police at the shops revealed quantities of assorted unregistered drugs.

He said the drugs were labeled Tramadol 225ml, Ibuglo plus, Davegra 150, Vargra Extra 150, Black Cobra 150, and other liquids in bottles labeled in Chinese language and Hausa locally called “Awonche,” meaning “wash your heart.”

Margaret and Samira admitted selling the drugs to the Nigerians, which were imported from Togo.

ASP Obeng said the suspects are in Police custody assisting in investigations as the drugs are being analysed.

The Principal Regulatory Officer of FDA in the Ashanti Region, Nora Narkie Terlabie, advised the public against the abuse of unauthorised and un-prescribed drugs because they were dangerous to the body.

She said, “the FDA would want to further emphasise on the abuse of Tramadol, popularly known as “ Tramol” that it is a prescription (medicine) only used to treat moderately severe pain, even though it is not classified as a narcotic drug in Ghana. It has narcotic-like effects like Morphine, Codeine and Pethidine, it works by acting on the brain directly where it decreases perception of pain.”

Ms Narkie observed that, lately the youth, especially young men have been abusing the drug by taking high doses before sexual activities, to delay ejaculation and give them stamina to perform for longer period.

Ms. Terlabie said the abuse of Tramadol could cause difficulty in breathing, low heart rate, which may lead to fainting, dizziness and seizures.

She said it could also cause addiction and physical dependence whereby the body would not function properly without the medicine.

More WA men seeking penis surgery to increase size

INCREASING numbers of WA men are seeking to enlarge their manhood with surgery, with doctors warning of risks to their sexual and psychological wellbeing.

Cosmetic surgeon Dr Jayson Oates, who runs a cosmetic surgery clinic in Subiaco, and clinical psychologist registrar Dr Gemma Sharp have teamed up to improve patient safety.

Dr Oates said WA men travelled interstate and overseas where penile augmentation was popular, particularly in South Korea and Mexico.

He said while men risked disfiguration and function loss from invasive surgical phalloplasty, there were safer non-surgical alternatives including an injectable procedure which increased the girth of men’s appendages.

“Size is an important issue for many men and is considered to symbolise masculinity and sexual prowess,” he said.

“Men commonly believe that ‘bigger is better’. So when men feel inadequate, it can have a major negative impact on their self-esteem and sexual functioning. It comes as no surprise that men are increasingly seeking procedures, and non-surgical enhancement.”

At his Calibre Clinic in Subiaco, Dr Oates has performed more than 100 male enlargement procedures on men as young as 22 and as old as 68 with a non-surgical technique he pioneered to increase size without surgery, using dermal fillers usually used for the face.

Dr Oates said the “calibre” procedure can be performed during a one hour in-clinic session and last up to 24 months.

He is now collaborating with Dr Sharp to research penile augmentation. She noted most men who requested penile augmentation had a penis in the normal size range, but were unhappy with its size.

The doctors hope for better understanding of motivations for cosmetic genital surgery.

Underage sex now ‘normal part of growing up’ in Britain

8 May, 2017 - RT

Children are increasingly at risk of being sexually abused because underage sex has become “a normal part of growing up” in the UK, a new report argues. The Family Education Trust says health and social agencies are increasingly taking it for granted that children under the age of 16, Britain’s legal age of consent, are engaging in sexual activities.

The report said the “expectation” of underage sex is leaving children vulnerable to abuse and exploitation, as health and social workers fail to ask individuals about their partners.

“Relaxed attitudes towards underage sex has led to what can only be described as a paralysis in child protection agencies as far apart as Rochdale in the north, Torbay in the south, Thurrock in the east and Liverpool in the west,” said Norman Wells, who is the director of the trust and author of the report, the Daily Mail reports.

Speaking on TalkRadio on Monday, Wells said the trust is calling for a ban on providing contraception and sex advice to those under the age of 16 because they are encouraging underage people to have sex.

TalkRadio presenter Julia Hartley-Brewer challenged Wells’ claim, arguing that without contraception there would be more teenage pregnancies and diseases spread.

“I’m thinking realistically we are going to have an awful lot more of sexually transmitted diseases and a lot more unwanted pregnancies, rather than a lot less underage sex," Hartley-Brewer said.

The research follows reports that young girls are being exploited and groomed by older men after being failed by police and social services.

It looked into seven serious case reviews, including alleged abuse in Bristol, Oxfordshire, and Rotherham, that took place over the past four years.

It found a common tendency of social and health agencies to refrain from asking young people about underage sex for fear of sounding judgmental, meaning any signs of abuse inevitably go undisclosed.

The report claimed, in the case of Rochdale, underage sex went “unchallenged” and “many young people were placed at risk of sexual exploitation” because reducing the number of teenage pregnancies was the main priority for agencies.

In one case, no action was taken after a 14-year-old girl informed a crisis intervention team that a 21-year-old man had made her pregnant.

“Even though the normalization of underage sex has been identified repeatedly in the serious case reviews as a reason for the complacency of child protection agencies, there is no indication of a willingness to address these underlying issues either at the local or the national level,” Wells said.

Professor David Paton of Nottingham University Business School called the 152-page report “utterly damning,” while warning against promoting a culture of “confidentiality.”

“A clear picture emerges of a culture in which underage sexual activity has come to be viewed as a normal part of growing up and seen as relatively harmless as long as it is consensual,” Paton was reported saying in the Daily Mail.

“An unhealthy emphasis on confidentiality has been used too often as an excuse to exclude parents who might have been in a position to help stop the abuse at an earlier stage,” he added.

The report calls for new guidelines giving “explicit recognition to the role of parents,” as well as a review of the Crown Prosecution Service guidance so that “due rigour is restored to the law on the age of consent.”

Brit banged up in Cambodian hellhole for selling crystal meth with his girlfriend

Andrew Sloman, 51, from Aylesbury, Bucks, was pushing the drug with his Cambodian partner Chang Sreypheak, 28.

She was caught with 1.4 grams of the substance in October last year, sparking a police raid on Sloman's hotel.

Cops found 40g of the drug and paraphernalia and the pair spent eight months awaiting trial in prison in capital Phnom Phem.

Sloman denied the charges but was found guilty on Monday of dealing the drug and sentenced on Wednesday.

Footage shows him handcuffed to another prisoner, shuffling out of the court followed by his girlfriend. Sreypheak was jailed for two-and-a-half years.

Judge Lim said: "Chang Sreypheak admitted that she had taken the drugs three times from Mr Andrew Sloman for sale in exchange for $10 or $15 from customers.

"She responded that she and Andy used the drugs, they slept together and he also took Viagra for sexual enhancement."

On the date of their arrest, Sloman allegedly ordered his girlfriend to take 1.41 grams of illegal drugs to a woman for $55 (£42).

Police caught her in the Daun Penh district of the city and raided the guesthouse where they had been staying, finding the stash of meth.

What does a Saudi “whore” look like? Just go to Hardee’s in Jeddah to have a look

Apparently you can get a “whore” in Jeddah from the fast food outlet Hardee’s. At least according to Saudi Sheikh Ali Al Mutairi. These women are “prostitutes” – for working and earning their living to take care of their families – because men happen to be in the same place. What an embarrassment Sheikh Ali Al Mutairi is for his country and his people. Maybe it’s time to implement ‘honor killing’ of men so Saudi Arabia can restore some honor.

Where is King Abdullah and his magic ‘people eraser’ when you need it the most?

A Twitter post ignited a battle of arguments over a post tweeted by a Saudi cleric describing the newly-introduced waitress at a fast-food restaurant in Saudi Arabia as “prostitutes”.

The debated topic sparked when Saudi Sheikh Ali Al Mutairi reacted to a number of Saudi tweets calling for the boycott of popular American fast-food restaurant, Hardee’s.

The reason?

The burger chain had recently allowed women – for the first time – to work as waitresses at their branches across the coastal city of Jeddah.

“At the beginning of her shift she’s a waitress. When her shift ends she becomes a prostitute. The more she’s around men the easier it becomes to get closer to her”, tweeted Al-Mutairi, whose twitter account (@4aalmutairi ) boasts more than 5,000 followers.

Despite this cleric’s views reflecting an existing frustration amongst some conservative segments in Saudi Arabia which oppose women’s right to work and fear that allowing females to mix with men may lead to unwanted social behaviours, Mutari’s rather controversial tweet was deemed too extreme to many Saudis on Twitter.

“Prostitution is not in working trying to survive but it is in corrupted minds that use religion to distort other’s reputation,” posted one male in response to Mutar’s tweet.

Many commented by telling Sheikh Al Mutairi that through doubting the morality of ‘chaste’ women and describing them in the way he did, the cleric would be committing a serious vice, according to well-known Islamic teachings.

Another tweep posted pictures of some Hardee’s waitresses posted over social media by saying “These women are all covered up that I wouldn’t look at them, plus if your sister goes to that restaurant would you prefer a man or a woman taking her order?”

Despite the reaction to Sheikh Al-Mutairi’s views being mostly critical, there were some supportive tweets like one which says, “We know your intention and we give you the benefit of the doubt; stay as you are, a splinter in the throats of liberals”.

As reactions mounted and a hashtag was created to discuss his tweet, Al-Mutairi replied to many of his critics saying:

“In the name of God, I have seen this hashtag and some are asking to apologise because they think I have defamed Hardee’s waitresses – the truth is I warned from the dangers of sexes mixing, at the beginning she is a waitress and in the end they will want her to become a prostitute and between are the devil’s steps”, tweeted the sheikh.

“As for hypocrites who shave their beards and moustache (a common way of describing liberals in Saudi Arabia), there is no apology for them because their zeal isn’t for God,” he added.

The Saudi Ministry of Labour has been implementing a strategy which aims at creating more job opportunities and workplaces for women. However, segregation of sexes is applied in most public venues across Saudi Arabia.

Blogger 'not welcome' here: Canadian mayors tell Roosh V

The mayors of several major Canadian cities are adding their voice to the growing backlash against a controversial American blogger who’s behind a series of men’s meetups planned for this weekend.

The so-called “pick-up artist” Daryush Valizadeh, known online as “Roosh V,” also runs the website Return of Kings, which is described as a forum for “heterosexual, masculine men.”

An international Return of Kings meetup day is scheduled to take place in 43 countries around the globe, including 10 Canadian cities, on Saturday.

On Tuesday, Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson took to Twitter to publically tell Return of Kings supporters that their “pro-rape, misogynistic, homophobic garbage is not welcome in Ottawa.”

Watson is also asking venues in the city to deny renting space to the group to hold the meetup.

A number of other Canadian mayors quickly followed suit and decried the meetings.

The Canadian meetings are apparently scheduled for Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Ottawa, Surrey, B.C, Toronto, Vancouver, Victoria, Winnipeg and Windsor.

Tenets of the “neomasculinity” beliefs promoted on the blog include the notion that a woman’s value depends on her fertility and beauty. Among some of Valizadeh’s most controversial writings includes a blog post where he wrote that rape should be “made legal on private property.”

Young Sex for Sale in Japan

BBC

Japan has a serious problem with the sexualisation of children. From bars where men pay to meet schoolgirls to suggestive pictures of very young children and comic books featuring child rape, the country has faced global criticism for its attitudes. It was only three years ago that possessing genuine child pornography was finally made illegal.

Stacey Dooley, one of BBC Three’s most popular documentary-makers fronts another powerful, hard-hitting investigation when she travels to Tokyo, Japan to look into what effect the law banning child porn has had and to see if the attitude towards the sexualisation of children has changed.

Stacey discovers a culture where sexual images of young girls are widespread and used for commercial gain. Her first stop is a legal Tokyo ‘JK’ café in which high-school aged girls are paid to provide company to older men – who tell her that it is perfectly normal to talk about sex and hold hands with girls as young as 15 dressed in school uniform.

Stacey uncovers an even more disturbing legal grey area exists in Japan called ‘Chako Ero’ where children as young as six are filmed or photographed in erotic clothing. She speaks to a producer of these films as well as a self-confessed paedophile to try and discover just why some Japanese culture seems to encourage inappropriate exploitation and sexualisation of children.

Following the law change, the documentary examines what else Japan is doing to stop normalising the sexualisation of children. Stacey meets volunteers from a charity trying to help vulnerable girls, as well as the Head of the Juvenile Section at the National Police to find what they are doing to protect young girls.
